You may have heard of the Considerate Constructors Scheme. The scheme was previously only available to constructors working on site. To become accredited, constructors had to sign up to a code of practice which would miminise disruption and increase customer satisfaction.
The scheme has been expanded and adapted so that organisations who don't work on site for long periods of time can also apply. Partners Repairs Team (Rydon) have become the first organisation become accredited to the scheme. This means that they will work to a 'Code of Considerate Practice'.
The code includes things like making sure that sites are clean and tidy, keeping neighbours up to date with any work that is being done, and being respectful to residents.
Look out for the next Gazette which will include more details about the scheme.
