Residents Forum

What is the Residents Forum?

The Forum is made up of up to 20 tenants and up to 10 leaseholder representatives, who meet every two months. Any recognised Tenants and Residents Association that covers Partners’ properties can also nominate a representative to the membership of the Forum. Residents are invited to nominate themselves for election every two years. If there are more nominations than there are spaces on the Forum, there will be an election.

What does the Forum do?

The Forum is an important way for us to consult our residents. Resident representatives on the Forum represent the interests of other PFI tenants and leaseholders by:

  • representing residents' views in all aspects of Partners’ service, particularly the refurbishment programme, day to day repairs and housing management
  • monitoring overall resident satisfaction with Partners, and working with Partners to continually improve the service we provide
  • helping Partners to communicate effectively with residents by advising us what goes into our newsletter etc.
  • meeting regularly to discuss any problems our residents are experiencing
  • representing Partners residents on consultation exercises by Islington Council and Homes For Islington

Who are the members of the Forum?

  • Ms Susanne Lamido (Chair) PFI2
  • Mr Richard Best PFI2
  • Ms Georgina Galliers PFI1
  • Ms Muriel Duncan PFI1

Leaseholders – you are under-represented on the Forum – the Forum wants you!
If you would like more information on the Residents Forum or if you’re interested in becoming a member of the Forum you can contact Tom Irvine, Customer First Manager, on our freephone number 0800 587 3595.

How do I contact the Forum?

You can contact the Residents Forum representatives directly if you have any issues you would like to be raised at the next meeting by writing to:

Partners Residents Forum
4-6 Colebrooke Place
London
N1 8HZ

or by emailing: susanne.forum@partnersislington.net. We’ve also set up an answerphone for the Forum. You can leave a message by calling 020 7288 8317. Please don’t use this number to report repairs – use the freephone number shown on the back of the newsletter.

Your comments will be raised and discussed at the Residents Forum meetings and fed back to our teams in order to improve the service we provide.

How do I get involved in the Forum?

Members are elected to the Residents Forum every two years. Between elections there may be vacancies on the Forum so if you are interested in getting involved, please contact us to find out more.

If you would like more information on the Residents Forum or if you’re interested in becoming a member of the Forum you can contact Tom Irvine, Customer First Manager, on our freephone number 0800 587 3595.

Expressing an interest doesn’t commit you to becoming a resident representative.

If you’ve got views you want to share with us or an interest in a particular aspect of our service, but you don’t want to commit to regular meetings, there are other ways to get involved. We hold focus groups from time to time looking at specific areas of service. Or you can join our Residents Involvement Register.

The Residents Involvement Register gives you a chance to get involved on the issues that are important to you, in a way that suits you. For example, you might want to be contacted only about issues affecting leaseholders, and only by email. Contact Tom Irvine, Customer First Manager, on 0800 587 3595, or email enquiries@partnersislington.net.
