This standard is set by the Council. All properties must be brought up to this standard through the works programme. The works carried out to each property will depend on its current condition, and what needs to be done to bring it up to the standard.
On average the works will take 8 weeks to be completed in each home, depending on the amount of work required. See the map of the works programme to get an indication of when the works will take place in your street. The dates shown are approximate dates only and we will confirm the actual start date for works to your home with you.
In most cases, tenants will not need to move out while the works are carried out to their homes. However, in some cases residents may need to move out while the works are carried out. We will inform the residents affected, provide alternative accommodation and seek to minimise the disruption as far as possible. Residents will move back to their home once the works have been completed.
Tenants can choose from 4 colour packages for the kitchen which include colour choices for the kitchen units, worktops, floor covering, and wall colour. For bathrooms, tenants can choose the colour of the walls and floor covering from a selection, and can choose either mixer taps or pillar taps.
If you need help moving your belongings you should contact the Resident Liaison Officer.
If you need to report a repair you should call the Repairs Helpline (0800 587 3595). We will arrange for a repair to be carried out.
Due to the financial constraints placed upon the Council, internal decorations were excluded from the round 2 project.
However, consequential damage caused by general repair works will be carried out as required on a dwelling by dwelling basis. Your Resident Liaison Officer will be able to tell you whether this applies to you.
